RE: Stink!

Flushed tanks pretty well. Still stinks. Doesn’t stink under the sink so the new valve is working. Wondering if it isn’t something from the trap to drain.

RE: Sagging headliner

I used 3m, sprayed it and stuck it back up. Couple wrinkles but not horrible. Now wife wants a ship lap ceiling lol. I’d put wood planks up if I can find thin and light.

RE: Stink!

I went to Lowe’s and they didn’t have studor brand. So I bought the cheap one and put it in last night. Still stinks. I’ll check the roof. Gonna go flush tank today too.

RE: Sagging headliner

whatever you use, test a small area first to be sure you have no bleed thru. bumpy Good thinking

Sagging headliner

The vinyl and foam headliner started coming down in my 2007 Georgetown. Just in the bedroom in a couple spots. The heat in Ohio has been pretty warm but I can’t imagine that it is the reason. There’s no evidence of moisture. Foam seems fine and vinyl still looks nice. Spray adhesive and stick it back up? What’s good spray adhesive I can buy at Lowe’s or menards?

Ok I think I have a smelly gray tank. Bedroom smelled couple days ago so I put some water in washer drain tarp. Since we don’t have washer it seemed reasonable the trap dried out. Now it stinks in the kitchen sink area. Any ideas?

RE: Week in Maine. Where would you go?

Maine is being very cautious about people being welcome from outside New England, check before you head out to Maine. This is correct. Right now, only those from ME, NH, and VT may stay at commercial lodging, including RV parks and campgrounds. You definitely do not want to travel into Maine without confirmed reservations, either, as many parks and campgrounds are not permitting stays shorter than 14 days. Starting June 26, 2020 folks from other states may visit if they either 1) Self-quarantine for 14 days. No dining out. No take out. No grocery shopping - bring any food you may need. No indoor tourist activities. Contactless delivery, if the lodging permits it, only. or 2) Certify to a negative Covid-19 test done no more than 72 hours prior to entering Maine OR self-quarantine (as above) and be tested in Maine. You may end self-quarantine once you receive a negative result on the test. Beginning June 26th, out-of-state visitors may quarantine in commercial lodging establishments for 14 days. During the quarantine, visitors cannot go to places with other people like restaurants, stores, and grocery stores, or pick up take-out. A lodging establishment may arrange for take-out, delivery, or grocery services for the visitors. Visitors can leave their hotel room or campsite during these 14 days but only for limited outdoor activities such as hiking as long as they are not around other people. Visitors can come to Maine and quarantine for the length of their stay if it is less than 14 days For 10 days, you would have to stay in your unit except for things like hiking, bring all your food, and you would not be allowed to shop at all. Maine Travel Resources - COVID-19 Sigh. Maybe next year we can do Maine.

Week in Maine. Where would you go?

Out west camping trip probably won’t happen so looking at other options. If you had a week to 10 days to spend in Maine, where would you go?

RE: Generac genny quit working

Think it’s 1/8 inch or quarter fuel line going into it? I’ll buy little chunk to shove in gas can

RE: Generac genny quit working

I crawled under motorhome and traced fuel line. Goes straight to tank with no filters. Not sure how it can clog when the pick up stops at quarter tank but I’m sure stranger stuff has happened. Think I’ll pull fuel pump out and maybe bench test somehow.

Generac genny quit working

While loading up the new to us class a i was running generator to cool down coach. It quit running. It’s a 2007 Georgetown with generac 6500 generator. Cranks but won’t restart. Like it ran out of gas but fuel tank is full. I’ve tried restarting but just cranks. Any thoughts?

RE: Los ángeles and Santa Barbara

I remember Disney land, knotts berry farm and the beach. Funny. My wife and I took an 11,000 mile trip last fall and the only location that was absolutely set in stone for us to visit was Cedar Point up in Sandusky. The grass is always greener. For what it's worth, we go to Disneyland at least four times a year and Magic Mountain & Universal are pretty close by. Cedar Point was absolutely the best amusement park we've ever been to. It may not have the Disney Magic, but those rides lived up to their record setting reputations. Lol that’s good stuff! That’s the nice thing about traveling. Get to experience so much. I do like Ohio. From May until Christmas at least. I do enjoy experiencing other states though!

RE: Los ángeles and Santa Barbara

Yea ive been gone a long time! I was 10 in 1985 when we left. My parents were from Cleveland area and they decided to move back. Lived an hour and half south of Cleveland ever since. I lived in Goleta. I thought it was a small town until I looked up stats and its nearly 50000 I believe. I remember Disney land, knotts berry farm and the beach. We traveled to glacier park last year and thought that would be our big trip. realized this year when we were planning that this may be last big trip with kids. Our older boy is 16 and im sure will be driving and working some, school activities, church activities, and everything else mean next summer we won't see him much so this summer...needed something big. The trip started as a Grand Canyon trip and thought if driving that far...california is only little farther. reviews on west coast campgrounds seem horrible. Tight and near highways. High costs. unhappy campers. I do appreciate the advice though. Hollywood rv has openings and probably will book soon. Just need to firm up the schedule a little.

RE: Los ángeles and Santa Barbara

Assuming life gets back to normal... having lived in both areas for decades, i seriously doubt you'll find anything available on the coast, ESPECIALLY if everyone that has reservations will be able to use them, after being locked down for weeks. Summer campsites along the coast, were booked months ago. Public campgrounds that have hookups, are already booked for the summer. Surprised that having lived in California, you weren't aware of this. Your only chance is to stay at RV parks. They might have some vacancies. Also, if you go inland, you'll also have a better chance. That's a dangerous assumption that soon... I think its important for everyones sanity to make plans for when this is over.... if it isn't then we will plan for later.

RE: Los ángeles and Santa Barbara

I would check with Flying Flags in Buelton to try to get near SB. It's a fantastic park with good climate and things to see and do in Solvang, Cachuma, and Santa Ynez. To get close to LA, I would call Valencia Travel Village. It's a good location with LA 45 minutes away if you avoid commute times and Ventura beaches less than an hour away. Ventura also has a nice RV park that's equidistant between LA and SB, but they're crazy expensive and probably booked. Ojai also has some good spots. I think their KOA reopened after the fire. I've never stayed at the RV park right off the 101 in downtown SB, but I assume they're already booked. Same with the one in Goleta. thanks so much. ill start looking at these places
