RE: Teton 5th Wheel

I helped a guy once when his one side jack failed and the front of the 5th wheel trailer nosed down. I used a 4x4 on a 5 ton floor jack and put that 4x4 right at the pin and pushed up allowing the nose to lift so we could get some other boards under the front frame work near that failed jack. He was able to then dig a hole under that failed jack to remove it and get it rebuilt. Where in Arizona are you?

RE: Yuma

How about stopping into Araby Acres in Yuma and give us a report as I booked the month of Feb at that park. From the reviews I saw it appears to fit the needs we have for that months stay. They do have nightly rates for your short stay. Hope you have an enjoyable trip.

RE: Tires for Travel Trailer in Port Huron Area

Drive down I-94 to Harrison Township and see Leslie Tire, [email protected]
586-463-0922. I had them do tire replacements on a couple of RV's for me over the years when I lived close to there. They are equipt to do the job correctly.

RE: We all use different ways.

To the folks who just showed up in the 43ft $200,000 fifth wheel, that costs double my house. you have a beautiful rig.
To the folks who are down in the woods in a bivvy tent, you guys are hard core, awesome setup down there.
To the folks who just pulled in with their 1979 c class with more rust than panel. I can only imagine the memories you’ve made in that thing. I bet that dent has a story.
To the folks that took that last site that nobody wanted you pulled in, put down the seats in their mini van, and started cooking. Your dinner smells delightful.
Y’all, we all camp differently, and we may not agree on it all, but we have to remember the only thing that matters is memories are being made, and you’re getting 120% out of your time with your loved ones. You have to forget HOW you go camping, and remember WHY you go camping. THAT is camping my friends. Spread love at the campground this season.
What a great post, I think you hit the nail right on the head as we all enjoy the way we travel, that is the reason we do it.

RE: secureing sofa in slide

We just removed the sofa from our rig and it was held down to the wooden flooring with lag bolts. Then there were large bolts for the seat belts that went into steel framing.I would use some way to secure the unit to the floor.

RE: Anyone interested in 83 Pace Arrow Tear down and Rebuild?

Oh My, that looks like a delay in production is coming your way? Hope that is not as serious as it looks.

RE: Best Class A fire extinguisher

I carry 4 fire extinguishers of various types, but recently had the PROTENG supression system installed in my 40 ft Tiffin Bus. The install was very well done and it is costly, but should give us time to exit the rig should or if we have a fire. At least that is the plan. You can watch the videos and see how it operates Here

RE: Buying a fifth wheel with a tow vehicle.

I purchased a combo from a couple out of California, medium duty truck and 5th wheel, they purchased both units new. I flew in from Detroit, bought them and drove them back to Michigan. Years later I sold the combo to one person. Bought them right as a combo, and sold them right as a combo. If you kind of know what it is your looking for and are able to wait for the right one, they can be found.

RE: Diesel pusher guys …which boost and EGT gauges ?

I have the Scan Gauge and find it very informative over the factory gauges that don't monitor as many items as the Scan Gauge. Very easy to install and no tools needed.
