RE: Surge breaks on a dolly

Yes, a dolly needs brakes, so things don't break when you can't stop due to not having brakes.

RE: Anyone ? GM 3.0 diesel

I would stay far away from any small diesel. They are problematic and not worth the aggravation. The Baby Duramax has only been out for a year (or less) so I'm not sure why you think it has problems.

RE: marker lights to led marker lights

Easy project, which I documented here when I did this on my Nash 17k I've done the same upgrade. The marker lights I used are these

RE: Dirt road travel

Stick with a Northwood (AF-Nash) or ORV, and you'll be fine. I've hundreds, if not thousands, of off-highway travel with mine. Definitely go with composite sides. Aluminum dents and gouges any time a tree branch looks at it wrong. Ditto on Northwood or ORV (Outdoors RV) Both companies build their own chassis in LaGrande, OR instead of using cheap / undersized frames from LCI / Lippert. Northwood and ORV are sister companies. Frames for both come from their own frame shop. The build their frames very stout. They are all about the same... marginal at best. Plan to upgrade as needed. ORV and Northwood are the exception to that thought because they build their own frames instead of outsourcing them from LCI

RE: Recommend a TT (rough roads, no campgrounds)

Looking for suggestions for a new TT. A few years back, we owned a unit from Outdoors RV. It seemed well built but was too large for the places we like to camp. We camp as far in the back country that we can in CO/WY/MT. -24ish feet box 24' of box length seems really long to be dragging way up into the hills on unimproved dirt fire roads.

RE: Kind of a dumb question, but I'm new

I'll be going to Camping World locally to have the equipment installed. Don't buy anything from CW, not let their service people attempt to install it. Wait and get it done at the RV dealer you buy the RV from. And don't buy an RV from CW either.

RE: Best Place to Sell Tow Vehicle

I really don't see a high end diesel truck going too well on Facebook, but the clientele might be a higher quality than Craigslist. On the other hand word of . Craigslist is what I consider the bottom barrel for Clientele, FB marketplace maybe a 1/4 step above. Lots of shady folks in FB marketplace too.

RE: Tow, Tow, Tow your boat and keep fingers crossed.

I would guess that when the boat is on the trailer, they flip down the wheel to take the weight. that would be some extreme torque if not. bumpy That's just a tongue jack wheel, not a wheel for towing.

RE: Bent sway control on EAZ Lift hitch

My initial reaction, after being confident you've installed it correctly (pics seem to show that), is you might have tightened the handle/screw TOO TIGHT. DITTO

RE: Converting a enclosed trailer to a RV TT

There are several large Facebook groups about Cargo Trailer Conversions. Search FB groups for that phrase and you can join the groups. There's hundreds of pics and ideas. Aeesome stuff for sure.

RE: Any new developments in hitches?

...Adjust the trailer height. Crank down the trailer. .....Crank the crank to lower the trailer. Sounds like you need an electric jack.

RE: Keystone denying claim (of course)

Pics needed so we can see what you are talking about. Deal direct with Keystone and bypass the dealer for getting warranty approval. The dealer may not have even contacted Keystone.

RE: Truck camper generator oil type/Built in or small portable.

So what is a good oil that meets all the spec's of a small portable generator that we use for our truck campers that is equal to Honda or Onan oil and does it have to be 4-cycle oil? Look at the specs on the Honda and Onan Bottles, then go to your favorite store that sell oil and find oil with the same or better specs / ratings. Done.
