RE: Small Class C with out tow car

We have a 24’ Winnebago and tow a Jeep Wrangler, the Jeep gets almost as bad mileage as the rv, but gets in places the rv never would, we’ve drug it all over the western states, we make a few trips without towing but not many

RE: Cost to install apparatus for Flat-towing

If you don’t do the work yourself this gets expensive I paid Road master tow bar $1100 Road master brackets $400 Demo stay and play $1100 Towed wiring $75 I installed myself. Over several hours. But it does get expensive and it’s the cost of what we do.

RE: Hard Core Shopping: Best Laptop Buy For The Buck SSD ?

Watch the website and watch the comments on laptops posted there, I only buy Lenovo and dell business line PCs they last long and are usually easy to fix, thinkpad or XPS for dell they are the cheapest or consider getting a refurb.

RE: Few questions from the future RV-er

We chose a small Winnebago on the Ford e450 chassis due to the fiberglass roof (don’t like rubber maintenance) and the e450 chassis has larger load capacity and different gears and other things like sway bars that we liked. Winnebago has a good long term story and lots of models. There are lots of good points get out and try some.

RE: Family of 4, looking for smaller trailer

Go look at some new trailers think about what meets your requirements then look for used, your in the range to find a few year old trailer with what you want 2 axle trailers can handle weight a. It better and single axle run out of capacity pretty fast. Most will all have what you want, look at fridge size and such, if you want a slide or not.

RE: Onan Microlite 4000 Generator Issue

Check the obvious air filter and spark plug. You should do that anyway and change the oil while your at it, ours did that and we cross referenced the plug online and got one at auto zone and our was running again.

RE: Tow bar recommendations

Look at the newer options I replaced an older roadmaster setup with new because I could eliminate pins and crossbars on a Jeep I have, now it’s the wire, safety chain and tow bar and two twist lock knuckles to pull out and I’m done, I use rubber plugs to fill the holes

RE: Mopar Flat Tow Wiring Kit for 2018 Jeep Cherokee Wobble ??

Lot of discussion on this and on forum the consensus was 2019 models didn’t need it and you want to have a 12v charge line setup to keep the Cherokee battery charged

RE: Converter, is it working

Flip the 120 breaker for the converter, plug everything in make sure the 120 stuff works, then put an volt meter on the 12v fuses and see if you get 12v, use the converter body for ground and the fuses for 12v. Flip breaker and take the same measurement. Our converter went out and was putting out low voltage , only figured it out after buying a refrigerator board I didn’t need, I have the meter plugged into the 12v side and the more 12v things I turned on the lower the voltage went. Best converter.con fixed that for us

RE: Car trailer questions

We towed a 2007 Chevy cruise manual with our 2009 24’ Winnebago. It weighted in around 3100 and towed great I sold it after 7 years and went back to our 2 door wrangler. Too easy to flat tow, I wouldn’t want to deal with a trailer
