RE: Canada border crossing

While we're on the topic of Sweden, here's an interesting take on their predicted verus actual's a short read, don't be scared. As was stated the more you test the more you will likely find. Perhaps deaths and ICU cases are a better comparison. Sweden with a population approximately equal to our 4 western provinces reports 3313 deaths and 500+ in ICU. Our 4 western provinces have a total of 269 deaths and 26 in ICU. Quebec on the other hand had the misfortune to have the virus get into the population before they realized, have results more in the line of Sweden despite having a somewhat lower population. Sweden is counting on having better immunity in the population going forward. Time will tell.

RE: Electric Fire Places

I think it depends on the type of weather you camp in. For us, in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies, it is probably the most used item in our trailer. The air conditioner gets turned on about once a year to see if it still works. Our fireplace (supplied with the trailer) did short out after 10 years and of course the the manufacturer was out of business. I replaced it with a dimplex.

RE: Looking for revelstoke recommendations

Stayed there several years ago, don't remember where, but it backed on the railway. Avoid that with all the oil trains going through. Great area.

RE: Two Weeks in Canada

The problem in Jasper is that Whistlers, by far their largest campground, is being totally rebuilt and will remain closed until 2021. The KOA you mention will be at Hinton, about 15 minutes outside the Park Gate, an hours travelling time from Jasper Townsite and a bit more to most of the attractions you will want to see. I just wanted to be sure you are aware of this.

RE: Thinking about downsizing to a B

I recently saw an ad for a 2015 Leisure travel B van on a Sprinter with a slide and a dry rear bath. The bed was in the side slide. I don't recall the model but if you Google Leisures 2015 models you will probably find it. They no longer make B units. Only small Cs.

RE: 2004 Minnie Winnie question

It is usually the cold. My understanding is that if a floor covering is totally glued down it prevents cracking. I don't know if this is forever but even new ones will split on a dealers lot in the cold. When I factory ordered mine in 2008 I stipulated the floor covering be totally glued and so far so good. Some others nearby have split. I believe Triple E would have totally glued your current one. U.S. manufacturers?? May just glue the edges and hope it goes south.
