RE: MI extended stay at home

Looking at Michigan infection rates, I can see why the Governor is so adamant about staying the order. Wayne county Michigan is rampant with new cases. We, in El Dorado county in California, were surprised to see 7 new cases (one whole family) break out last week. Wayne county Michigan has 20 times that many cases DAILY. Something has to be done or it will just get worse there.New cases mean nothing, just means comparatively more people are being tested. Means herd immunity is that much closer.

RE: Help with new travel trailer

Type in "Palamino Puma problems". You'll come up with answers to the question you asked... You'll get exactly the same answer no matter what name you type in - bar none.

RE: 5th wheel verses travel trailer

You can tow a bigger Travel Trailer than 5th wheel while staying within any given trucks ratings.

RE: Hard start capacitor

Put the $300 into a bigger generator. The increased wattage is much more useful for all kinds of other uses around the house and the toy hauler. The soft start is a one trick pony, wattage has multiple uses.

RE: Gas, Diesel, Gears and Towing

Think about it for a minute, how is an attorney going to prove you were over any of your ratings if it wasn't weighed at the scene of the accident? And why bother when they only have to prove you failed to stop in time.

RE: our current FINANCIAL situation

So just reread your first sentence. You're post is tied to that sentence being true.

RE: And Texas Caves In

... If a little suffering keeps a few more people alive so be it. There are much worse tragedies than high unemployment and the stock market crash. Guess what they can take your money but they can't eat you! Be glad you have your health! Be glad your alive!Nothing else really matters. Including , RV'S, money, Jobs etc. Your health and your families health are top priority. Everything else is just stuff that is ultimately disposable.Wow how profound! I just have one question. Tens of thousands of people die every year from seasonal flu, why don't we shut this country down every year for 3 months? After all, if a little suffering keeps a few more people alive it's worth it right? The fact that you want to compare covid deaths to those created by the seasonal flu let me know that you don't fully understand what's happening and why the shut down has been put in place. Just for reference thousands don't die overnight from the fluWhere in my post do you even see the mention of Covid or Coronavirus? Real smooth dodge of the seasonal flu question I did ask however. Your post was all about saving lives remember. Tells me your "little suffering to save a few lives" falls on its face.

Understand nothing monetary compares to a life. Trying to equate bank accounts to lives is the epitome of selflessness and foolish. Dear Mother Teresa, After you're through giving yourself the Nobel Peace Prize I would suggest you consider this. You and I and everybody else do exactly that every day. We make decisions to engage in dangerous activities that can kill people because they give some benefit to us in other ways. Like driving a car. If you really believe the old "If is saves just one life" argument then you have to outlaw automobiles. There, you just saved over 30,000 lives per year. Now go accept your Nobel Peace Prize. The self-righteousness of some people knows no bounds.Well Said!

RE: Should/will Glacier, Teton and Yellowstone open?

No toilet paper = prime example of hysteria. (The hysteria a moment ago you said didn't exist) You can figure out for yourself who or what is causing it. A lot of us already know.A lot of you are shooting the messenger. Perhaps you'd be happier watching Fox, who dismissed it from the get go.Sort of reminds you of the MSM who called "He who must not be named" a racist for banning travel from China. Let that sink in for a minute as you're calling out Fox news for Fake News. So would you like to continue this silly game?

RE: Should/will Glacier, Teton and Yellowstone open?

Presenting information in sensationalist manner is whipping up hysteria. You're saying that anything the media says is totally believed by everyone leading to hysteria. What hysteria are you seeing that I am not?No hysteria? Tell me why you can't buy a roll of toilet paper then.

You have a much higher chance of dieing in an auto accident this year. So how many of you leave your car parked for months at a time?

RE: Should/will Glacier, Teton and Yellowstone open?

There a difference between reporting news and giving opinions.Ok, cite an opinion a news outlet has given about this that's creating hysteria. There is no such thing as a "News Outlet". But I'll play your silly game - how about the proclaiming 2.2 million people were going to die. Lets see in the end how that turns out.

RE: Should/will Glacier, Teton and Yellowstone open?

Decisions have largely been made based on political WILL and the media has been doing everything possible to whip up hysteria and that drives the political will. Why is it always the media's fault? Because they're the ones creating and perpetuating the hysteria? How? By reporting what's going on?? They're the messenger. You don't want to know what's happening? I don't follow this constant media-bashing 'logic' .There a difference between reporting news and giving opinions. Huntley-Brinkley reported news they ain't been around for a long time.

RE: Should/will Glacier, Teton and Yellowstone open?

..... Basing what is going to happen in the rest of this country upon what is happening in NYC isn't realistic. The predictions are that this virus is spreading and will continue to spread like a wildfire in a wind storm. It can spread rapidly from people who show no symptoms and never know they are carriers. A 6 foot social isolation zone is a Minimum and no guarantee of safety. Most of us are in strict isolation, now wearing masks and not handling groceries or even US mail. I try to keep a 20-30 foot distance from others. What do you think would happen with millions of visitors in visitor centers, using campground bathrooms, touching gas pump handles, or even walking nearby others on trails? A you going to hand your credit card or pass to a entrance station ranger and then just put it in your pocket? Some people have no idea what is happening and what is headed their way.Reread your first sentence. Predictions don't matter, only facts. The facts remain to be seen.
