RE: General Question on Discounts

Why didn’t you just get the credit union financing to begin with?

RE: Cheap sunbird locations? Escape Florida summer

Good luck finding a place near traverse city for $400/month. You might find a place in the UP but it will be few and far between and not be near a big city like Munising ( big city for the UP). More likely to some place closer to Mohawk - and don’t worry, there is no extra charge for the bugs.

RE: Best generator

Wow, some of the misinformation in this thread is mind boggling. OP, I suggest if one of your primary concerns is loudness, you research the numbers yourself. There are some people in this thread that simply don’t know what they’re talking about.

RE: EV's I know there are folks better versed than me in here

How will a self driving system handle that perfect snow covered road? No tracks, no lines, no plowed ridges? Can it feel the gravel on the right and steer just a hair left? Or keep it just one tire on the gravel berm? Real dense fog? A leaf covered road? The infamous lane and a half roads where I grew up?
Aircraft, in a much tighter controlled environment, still need a pilot, or two.It wouldn’t need to feel the edge of the road, it’s possible it could drive perfectly in the center of the lane from purely electronic signals.

RE: A tale of two trailers, or prices are thru the roof.

Many who find themselves deep underwater won't be able to get enough on the resale to cover the note. You're assuming they will want to sell them. What if they just keep them for 10 or 20 years?
The last one I bought, I kept for 12 years; long after it was paid off. The one I have now I plan on keeping for the rest of my life - statiscally, another 20 years.

RE: A tale of two trailers, or prices are thru the roof.

You’re missing the key part of his post
“as long as any investment I made instead of paying cash is at least keeping up with inflation I'm well ahead”.
You’re comparing interest to inflation, he’s comparing interest to ROI. I don’t know about him but the ROI on my investments have beat inflation (and my interest rate) several times over for quit awhile. We are however in new territory now.

Just so you know there is no "Study"; All your link is someone referencing "Studies have shown" with nothing else but opinions based on zilch, nada, nothing. No study, no data, nothing by hypotheses.
Wow, really? Read the article, it mentions a study. If you can't verify these truths with your own eyes, I don't know how else to talk to you...Take a nap Spoon. Your getting really CRANKY in your old age! Ha
Well, ole w_z is doing his best impersonation of a typical RV.net member who would argue that the sky isn’t blue. Can’t blame spoon fer that!Sorry that my little two sentence post went over your head G D. Next time I won't use compound sentences.

RE: Coal-Rolling Teen Pickup Truck Driver Hits Six Cyclists

...What is the likelihood that there will be hazardous conditions along the edges of MI roads such that the exceptions make cyclists entitled to use more of the lane than “against the curb”?In my experience as a person that rides my bike many hundreds of miles a year in Michigan - Pretty low.
I try to stay smart about it and keep myself out of the hospital and morgue.
That isn’t to say that there aren’t dumbasses out there.
For myself, I have never had a bottle or anything else thrown at me, never been deliberately run off the road, and never been cursed at or flipped off (except for one drunkass guy staggering around in a parking lot that threw a bottle at me as I rode by – he was so drunk, or stoned, he was a lot closer to hitting himself then me).
I don't find sharing the road and keeping to the right as being a problem - YOMV
As for the dumbasses, they may have a totally different experience, I wouldn’t know.

RE: Coal-Rolling Teen Pickup Truck Driver Hits Six Cyclists

The point is - You are not "entitled" to use the lane in Michigan. Using the lane requires extenuating circumstances, not entitlement.

RE: Coal-Rolling Teen Pickup Truck Driver Hits Six Cyclists

While the flipping off is uncalled for, I question the "hogging the lane". The fact is it is not safe to let all drivers share your lane. And while you in your cage may not understand or like it, on most roads, that bike is entitled to the use of a whole lane...Not in Michigan.
(MCL 257.660a) - If riding your bike below the posted speed limit, a cyclist is required to ride as close as practicable to the right hand curb or edge of the road.

RE: Running lights on cars

I think if I get to a point that I can't see a car in the daylight without it's light's on it is time for me to STOP driving.
Studies show that, even during the day, drivers detect a car with its headlights on further than a car without them on. "On a clear day with good visibility, an approaching car can be seen from about 2,500 feet away. With headlights on, it increases to 4,700 feet." So, maybe its time for you to stop driving.

RE: Where to in June

I guarantee, 100% of the state parks sites on the Great Lakes in Michigan (and there are literally thousands of sites) are currently available for June 2022; and will continue to be available until about January 2022.

RE: Generator runs fine, but no electricity in coach

You need to limit the choices by starting at the source and moving forward. First check if gen is outputting 120 volt, if yes is there 120 incoming from gen at transfer switch, if yes, is there 120 output at transfer switch - and keep going down the line until you isolate the culprit. As it is now, you’re just throwing darts with a blindfold on.

BTW I believe the grid will do just fine.
You mean the grid that has been suffering brown-outs and black-outs for decades in the most populous areas? That grid?
Trampy had four years to improve everything and Make America Great,
why didnt he?
Btw did Mexico sent money for the Wall yet ?Wow, 10 months later and still suffering a severe case of TDS - and he's Canadian! You need to start smoking crack, I hear it relieves the symptoms of TDS.
