No question, there are a number of factors that go into how a coach rides and handles. That is why I said: "on the same chassis and coach dimensions" I am familiar with a very poor WB/OL but rides and handles well. The Foretravel 34' diesel pusher. BUT (large but) they put a lot of $$ into the suspension-- 8 outboard air bags, 8 shocks, etc. $$ can overcome issues.

Yes, longer WB/OL on the same chassis and coach dimensions gives better handling, particularly better tracking.

no converter, takes AC makes DC to charge my house batteries I THINK CORRECT. CONVERTER takes 120 VAC and converts it to 12 VDC-- actually 13.2+ VDC. INVERTER takes battery power (12+ VDC) and inverts it to 120 VAC (some better than others-- Modified Sine Wave vs Pure Sine Wave.

Unless very quality-driven, CASTER which has a significant effect on pulling to one side on solid front axle application requires dripping the side of the axle enough to install shims. Less quality-driven techs are content with "just about OK". No, the point is that an exact volume of fuel at 40 degrees F will show the same exact volume if pumped at 90 degrees F. Pump accuracy is not the issue. BUT, there will be fewer molecules in that volume at the higher temperature. Yes, on the 1999 P30, you had the choice of the VORTEC 454 or the GM 6.5 diesel. Not even close-- the VORTEC 454 is superior.

When you're traveling does the alternator charge the house batteries? 3/4 of coach's haven't the means to do it that's why there are so many after markets kits out there for this purpose. Please provide a link to a motorhome that does NOT charge both chassis and house batteries from the alternator.

Correct. All motorhomes are built (no idea if the electrical system is still functioning and/or has been modified by a previous owner) for the alternator to charge both chassis and house battery banks.

My opinion on a lot of these types of questions is that if there truly was a one and only one best house battery, it would be the only one left on the market.x2. The question is really, "what's best for me?" With one further criteria: At what price point OR SAID ANOTHER WAY dependent or independent of price. No question, the choice for a full timer who dry camps most of the time should be entirely different from the weekender who keeps their coach plugged into shore power 95% of the time.

What is voltage at the house batteries? As Cliff said, a smart converter will NOT try to charge a deeply discharged battery. Have you verified 120 VAC to the converter? If plugged into a house-style outlet, plug something else into it to verify.

Yes, checking with a hydrometer until they ARE fully charged will always lead to "bad battery". Yes, if run very low on water, they are likely bad, but to accurately check, they do need to be fully charged. And, an equalization charge would be even better. If doing an equalization charge, I suggest you disconnect them from the coach. Some of your PC boards would not be happy with 15+ VDC.

Think you should look at the bottom of your air filter canister, there should be a a small water drain hole. I know mine has one. Correct! I have the intake at same location. No water issues. And, should have a "duck bill" on it. The get old and brittle and if so, need to be replaced.

Would need more information to be of any assistance. Class A, C, trailer? Gas, Diesel Doubt one person would be qualified for all. And, yes PPL can check the house systems. Chassis, particularly diesel chassis-- unless a new service, it is NOT something they offer.

Correct-- too much space at the back allows turbulence vs laminar flow over the condenser. In fact correct MAXIMUM space is as or more critical as correct minimum space. All this is covered in the refrigerator installation manual.

Yup, clearance dimensions as outlined in the installation manual are CRITICAL to proper cooling performance. And, muffin fans on top of the condenser blowing UP improve performance.

Sure, it could be a cooling unit. But it would not have been exposed to the #1 killer of absorption cooling units-- being run out of level. At least we hope on a houseboat (not a sailboat) that it has been level when it is on! Assume you have confirmed propane pressure (11" W.C). Low pressure results in low flame= poor cooling.

Two things: Do not expect any absorption refrigerator to cool quickly. If you want safe temperatures in an hour or two after turning it on, you will need bring ice bottles/dry ice/etc. Also, when was the last time you did a BURNER AREA TUNE-UP? That will help cooling while on propane. Could it be a bad cooling unit-- sure. But having reasonable expectations and having it tuned up is a good inexpensive start. Good luck.
