Since I will spend Christmas back here in PA; I winterized it. A chore that is unnecessary when in CA; but then hard to beat the "White Christmas".

Drove mine to Karoake last night because it hadn't been driven in a while and just finished winterizing.

What I did today and the past couple of weekends in three words, "Rust never sleeps."

Open the pod bay doors Hal.

Once I exit Hal, this is what I do.

While preemptively replacing my Master Cylinder and flexible brake lines today, I broke a steel line.

The Joy.

Also waging another war of attrition with roof gutter rust that I will no doubt lose.

Yesterday, I loaded it to the gills with my friend's stuff so she could moved into my house for 6 weeks until her new place is ready. It sure can hold a lot. Been using it to haul boxes & small furniture to her storage unit. I love how flexible it is.

That is the best part of owning a B. You can drive it anywhere, anytime.

I faced that some years ago. The question was whether to use copper gutters (they get stolen for scrap money all to often), or galvanized. I didn't want aluminum.

So, it was galvanized. Before installing them, and on the ground, I "painted" two coats of liquid fiberglass on the inside, installed them and "touched up" the joints.

No more rust issues. They'll still be up there when I'm dead and gone.

'Twas extra work, but, only once.

They do get a good cleaning a couple of times a year.

Cheers.
