Jimmy Johnson DQ'd for a techincal violation. Chad was smarter.

Chase Elliott can't buy a break.

I liked Hamlin's deal before the race even started. The weight bars coming out on the track was even better than all the lead shot that used to magically appear along track aprons. Since the schedule changes, I don't know if Tuesday is still going to be judgement day, but when the gavel falls I bet it will come down hard. The camera work has been outstanding since they don't need to worry about not showing the stands. Did anybody else pick up on the misspelling of the branch of service for the veteran that Kyle Busch was running for? When they interviewed Kyle, I believe it was in the short rain delay, the black background stripe at the bottom of the screen with his name had Navel instead of Naval.

Those bars were heavier than that track worker thought. He almost dropped one on his foot.
Agreed on Chase, can't buy a break. Two laps to go I'd have pulled a Joey. What, what, come in? Sorry past pit road now. I put that mistake on the crew chief. Coming out 9th with 2 laps to go, C'mon man!

Hamlin's tungsten was 35lbs and cost $1,877 from the manufacturer. Crew chief, car chief and engineer all suspended for 4 races.

Seems like Kyle Busch is a little butt hurt this morning. Chase won the truck race with the $100K riding on it.
As usual Kyle blames somebody else, it's never him. Sorry Cloud[emoticon]

It was a heck of a run though. Especially after the last restart. That rookie running at the front didn't cut Kyle any slack for being a Cup champion.

Irrespective of Kyle just taking responsibility for dumping Chase a week or so ago, he didn’t blame any one, just said what happened this time, too.

A lot of “we” in the blame. [emoticon]

Any way, what he actually said was ...

"It doesn't help showing up to the race track with broke parts on your truck. That was a problem from the get-go," Busch said. "Didn't have our right-front [bump stop] right, so we were all over the splitter. We came in and didn't know it was broke, so had to fix it with a makeshift piece, and it was way too high. Then we tried to fix it, and [it] just never was right. We were out in left field the whole night. Never really had a great feel for the truck or a great driving truck. Just salvaged what I could."

Darn, I missed the race. I’m sure that if Chase and Kyle got together at the end NASCAR would still be sweeping up truck parts this morning.

Trucks are for hauling the racecar to the track. I did NOT tune in.
Kyle Busch is my favorite NASCAR driver. And Chase Elliott,....one of the most fortunate drivers ever,....what's not to like?

Doesn't surprise me Cloud! Truck racing tends to be better than Cup, shorter races, shorter tempers and best of all FRANCECAR tends to let them beat and bang (throwback) without much interference from the head shed.
