Whose quote, and why is some random vlogger quotable?

Would the CEO of Volkswagen be a quotable source?

Business insider article

Here is another article that might be easier for you to access:

Electrek on VW CEO comments

"Interestingly, Diess seems to have some important information about Tesla’s expected production efficiency at Gigafactory Berlin:

Tesla has long been appreciated for the software, range, and acceleration of its cars but has had problems with quality. The production was ridiculed. But our main competitor is learning fast. The quality is getting better, the customer feedback more positive. And in Brandenburg, Tesla wants to build half a million cars with 7,000 people – direct and indirect. And with an impressive productivity: expected 90 units per hour in one line, 10 hours per car."

He didn't mention how short and automated that one line will be due to the use of 3 major megacastings making up the majority of the frame.

Okay, but not really sure what that has to do with the random vlogger. Or was he the VW CEO?

I really was wondering why a vlogger was quotable. To me that's like quoting a Kardashian, known for being known, but contributes zip.

Suppose they'll just do without truck delivered goods when these goals can't be met? [emoticon]

The days of the internal combustion engine are numbered.

General Motors said Thursday that it would phase out petroleum-powered cars and trucks and sell only vehicles that have zero tailpipe emissions by 2035, a seismic shift by one of the world’s largest automakers that makes billions of dollars today from gas-guzzling pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles.

Thank you for putting a link to a subscription only article. Not sure why you are showing a link that is 11 months old (per the naming in the link). Nothing to do with a promised Semi. I think most individuals know that all OEMs are working toward a zero emission future.

Maybe you should have highlighted that GM had started building electric Hummer pickups in a completely redone plant. Maybe you should have highlighted how FedEx now has the first 5 electric BrightDrop EV600 Vans for delivering in California.

Where is the Semi? Did the CEO and Board not know that they needed to build another plant? Did they think they would just build it under a carnival tent in California? Amazing to announce and demonstrate products, and then be months and years late to delivery.

Unmistakable trend, Europe is also phasing out petroleum-based vehicles starting and earlier on cities.
