Help!! I am having issue with onan gen overheating and shutting down... I believe it is design flaw. The gen. compartment is too restrictive and does not allow fresh cool air in to keep gen running and cool. The gen runs fine if I leave compartment outer door open but when closed the gen over heats and shuts the fuel pump down after about 20 minutes. The exhaust port for the hot air was partially restricted by support frame, I removed some of the restriction where I could but is still restricted by I beam frame... added air vent to outer door near fresh air intake but no luck yet. any other new WW owners experiencing problem?

Onan generally requires 1/2" of clearance on all sides and 12" underneath.
Do you have this clearance? Is the Gen mounted on rails or is the floor solid?

Do you have the factory Onan manual that should of come with the trailer?

check and see if the area where the air COMES IN to the housing is clear.
it may have sucked some debris or a piece of paper that is blocking the intake....

normally, if the air can get in to the fan/blower, it will find its way out.

also check the oil and the low oil shut down sensor.... we have had the low oil shutdown senders fail after they get warm.. you can simply unplug it to check it.
when the motor dies, unplug the low oil sensor and if it starts right up again, its a bad sensor.

Thanks for responding! There is about 1/2" clearance on all sides and it is setting on floor except were the exhaust end is there its resting on a cross rail. I will double check to see that there is now air blockage and oil level. can you tell me where the oil shut down sensor is located? it is a 4000 quite gen

the cooling intake and discharge are through the bottom, pretty obvious. Assuming Onan Marquis Gold which is what most have.

If it's a 2017 take it in for warranty.

Here is a thread from a few months ago that might help you out, a lot of info as well as photos too. Onan Generator Heat

It's helpful to let us know exactly what unit you have as well as which generator you to have too. Since WW has been through at least 4 companies that use the name it's hard to know exactly what you have; Original WW, The RV Factory WW or the Omega RV WW, or even the Extreme Warrior line.
