I want to add sound to the living room in a WAF friendly manner. Gotta be inconspicuous and no wires showing! Any particular good sounding ones that you have heard?

Amazon's Echo Dot makes a great inconspicuous speaker. Bonus is if you have more than one, you can set it up so the same tunes play from all units.

WAF might be improved with a large amount of aftermarket decorations available for the unit.

I use one of these DELL AD211 Portable BLUETOOTH Speakers to use outside of my Camping setup. Has great Bluetooth range (50-60 feet away). Great sound... This also has a direct audio input port...

This is a battery operated unit and will run for several days on a single USB PORT charge.

I also have a belt loop GOPAC for hiking and carrying my various cell phone/tablets etc with Portable Battery source and BLACKWEB BWA17AA001 Portable Bluetooth and direct connect Speaker (WALMART). This too has excellent sound...

Keeping a BATTERY OPERATED Speaker plugged into a USB PORT Charger all the time like in your case is probably not a good idea...

WALMART has big supply of various BLUETOOTH speakers...

I got my DELL Speaker from AMAZON...

I also picked up a SOUNDBAR Speaker setup (AMAZON) for the bottom of my 24-inch DELL monitor setup. This operates from a USB port (NO BATTERY) and has great sound. I see those at WALMART as well... I guess this soundbar speaker is not a Bluetooth speaker - mine has to be plugged into an audio speaker port to operate.
