Got wet this week. We beat the mud home, but lots of muddy trucks in town. Lows in the mid-20’s so I’m glad I drained the camper water and blew out the system with low pressure air.

Good weather, seasonal chill forecast next week, so we’re looking forward to a great elk camp. We’ll be on private ground near Cokeville.

If you are camping in the National forest bring a chainsaw. New deadfall across the roads can be a daily occurrence.

Where are you headed?

Rich, We’re gonna be hunting north of Thermop (Grass Creek area), which puts us only about 50 miles from home. We got really lucky this year, we ( both of us hunt) drew late season “any” elk, and late season deer. The DW is carrying a bear tag ( she’s taken 2 and wants another) and I a lion tag. So....if all the “planets align” we could, though unlikely, get... 2 elk, 2 deer, a bear, a cat, and maybe a wolf (pack [emoticon] ) We plan on “living with the animals” for about 4 weeks! [emoticon]

You’re gonna need a bigger freezer!

Best we’ll do is 4 elk, but only need one. Got friends who need the meat.

Good luck!
