Heading out tomorrow on a long weekend trip, and ran into an issue this morning. Plugged in my trailer to get the fridge cold for food, and the CO/LP detector started beeping. It is flashing between red and green, which shows to be a Fault of some kind. The trailer is a 2019 Wildwood that we bought over the summer, so the detector shouldn’t be out of date. I didn’t have time to check voltages, but what else could be causing this? We will be running the furnace on our trip, so will have to have a working detector. Any quick things I can try before heading out?

Dead battery will also cause a fault. If your trailer is at home leave it plugged in 24/7 and simply check battery water level monthly.

Don't have time to check voltage? [emoticon] The most obvious cause is a drained battery ... if it's depleted because you've not disconnected it during storage or not plugged the trailer into shore power so the converter can maintain the battery it will definitely be drawn down and can cause the CO/LP detector to alarm.

Fro manual for MTI Safe-T-alert unit:
MALFUNCTION/SERVICE SIGNAL If any malfunction is detected, the Gas LED will remain off and the Operational/CO LED will alternate Red/Green and the alarm will sound once every 15 seconds. Press the Test/Mute button. If the Test/Mute button does not clear the signals, check the battery voltage

Test/mute does not clear the signal, so definitely sounding like a voltage issue. Didn’t have time to check it this morning because I had to leave for work. I’m hoping it will have cleared when I get home today after the battery has charged. Thanks for the replies!

The trailer is plugged in? If the converter is working, low voltage should not be the issue.
