Watch the show "Ridiculousness" on MTV, makes this look mild.

LOL-that is SO true. For those who decide to watch it for the first time be prepared for some mildly colorful language, some risque-ness and some just plain grossness. It is not for everyone!

I am sure many if not all of us at one time or another have done things that were not all that smart... And we have paid the price in many cases (I know I have)

But that young lady,, and most of the candidates and also-rans at Darwin Awards.. Well they compete for "THE STUPIDEST PEOPLE no longer living on Earth"

And from frequenting that page and even contributing a link or two.. The competition is FIERCE (Note folks who contribute the link do not win the award. the "link" is to a news item. and the subject in the news .. That's the candidate)

Like the guy who was taking steel support pillars in the multi level parking garage.. or should I say "Like the pancake" cause when the upper floors hit the lower floor.. .. Well they had to scrape him up with a spatula,
(Those floors are concrete, not Styrofoam after all.

Oh there is a "Darwin awards" song out there but caution Some of the stories in the song..... Never happened.

Well, having rock climbed, chased 'bar, did all sorts of outdoor stuff that resulted more than once in a 8-12 hour walkback to the cabin/plane/road, I'd certainly agree that a blanket application of "stupid" is hard to justify...

...but also having grown up decades ago in a far less safety conscious time and in what was then a real winter climate and done a fair amount of snow sliding behind vehicles....WTH is she doing sliding upside down and head first? Those two elements would trigger the "here's your sign" thing.

In the 1950s we called it "hooky-bobbing". I have no idea where the name came from.
My mother bought a "traction kit" (rubber cement and sand-like glass chips) for my overshoes. That put a stop to my hooky-bobbing!

Back in the ' good old days ' cars had real rear bumpers that you could get a solid grip with both hands. Nowadays not so much. That leaves the only way is to lie on your back and hold on with one hand because you need the other hand to take the obligatory selfie.
