When I go to My Posts it seems to list items within the past year. But when I go to advanced search, enter me as author and specify all posts over multiple years archive (that takes longer) the most recent post is in 2013. How do I find my posts, and their answers, from 2013-2019?

Odd, there must be a back door access some how. I Googled my name and topic and found some of these posts that way.

Thanks for all you do, appreciate the website.

I’m surprised they have kept them as long as they have.

They had a server issue a few years ago where a large batch of posts were somehow "lost"

I too was looking for a specific thing I posted in the same era, and could not find it here no matter how I worded the search parameters.

I actually found what I was looking for by doing a Google search instead.
But you have to know the keywords of the post you want. I put in bobsyouruncle and a couple keywords of the post I was looking for and Voila!! There it was!

That works.

What you need to search google is to type in, site colon you know one of these : rv.net your username + what ever the subject is, whatever thread or subject you posted.

This works for me to find my old posts.

Example for me

The 'My Posts' search only returns your posts within the past year.

However, the forum Search on the whole is broken. I believe the issue is that Search is supposed to 'close and archive' threads with no new posts in one-year. These archived threads then show up when using Advanced Search 'Archive-over 1 year old.'

However, the forum software is no longer closing these threads automatically after a year of no posts. So they end up in search limbo. As Search is only returning results that meet the older than one year and 'archived' parameter? But since this condition is not met, it doesn't return these older posts?

I believe members older posts have not been lost? Just that this Search flaw needs to be addressed to retrieve them? Until then, your best bet is to use Google Search.

Here is an example of one of your own posts: MH Correct Vacuum Line Actuator Connection?. As you can see, the last post was more than 1-year ago? The forum is supposed to have automatically closed your thread, so it becomes 'archived'. But obviously, did not happen?

If you search your old post using the thread title, the forum returns 'no results'? However, clear that your thread is still in the forum database?
