The panic has set in up here. Went grocery shopping and people were hoarding supplies. One guy had 96 rolls of tp for two people. 96 rolls!!!! One woman had 5 or 6 48 roll packages claiming she was "bringing them home to her neighbors". Another woman had about 10 cases of water because she heard that the virus could be transmitted via the water supply. But what really got under my skin was watching people push a gentleman in a wheelchair out of their way so they could get stuff! They did this as he was reaching for what he wanted. Fortunately someone else stepped in to help him. What is wrong with people????????????

RV-less for now but our spirits are still on the open road.

I have no explanation, I can only agree with you, (and your Topic).
I am however completely baffled by the hoarding of TP, what is the reason, diarrhea is not one of the symptoms. [emoticon]

Sorry, WRONG! From the CDC:

And from WEBMD: "Typical symptoms include nausea, vomiting (more often in children), watery diarrhea (more often in adults), and stomach cramps."

And from HealthLine: "The hallmark symptoms of norovirus are vomiting and watery, non-bloody diarrhea."

But - we aren't talking about Norovirus -- it is Coronavirus - not the same. It is a respiratory illness !

Not all people will get sick or show obvious symptoms BUT all can be carriers.

What is wrong with people? Panic..

I mean let me describe a very common situtation.. a blow out.
Because the company that made the ride knows you want a softer ride they recommended a too low tire pressure... So the side walls flex more than designed and overheat and BOOM.. Explosive decompression of the tire.. The Driver (not a vehicle operator but a point and shoot driver) Stands on the brakes with both feet. then rolls over and dies for. Standing on the brakes with both feet is a "OH SOMETHINGs WRONG" panic response and the worst thing you can do under the conditions.

Vehicle operator (same Suv) blows a tire and hits the gas long enough to recover control, then coasts to the shoulder where he installs the spare and continues on.

Same thing here on a much larger scale.. The unskilled, the uninformed those who watch news sources that are not all that good or listen to "Experts" who are more like Ex-Spurts and really are just yammering lies.. They panic. and they make up 48% of our population per one expert who has since been proven accurate.

I think the main issue is there is no trusted place to get information to the general population. One network was established on the theory "profit is more important than truth" and all others wanted part of the profit.
Then nobody understands when we warn children "If you do not tell truth all the time, people will not believe you when it is important" this applies to grownups too.
When somebody constantly makes false statements things must be worse than he says.
