We are picking up a 2019 Cherokee Trailhawk this weekend. I plan on going with the Ready Brute tow bar. I do have a dolly and just wonder if it can be towed on a dolly since we are driving about 4 hours away to get it. I don't have the manual yet but have heard some can not be towed on dolly. this does the the ability to put transaxle in neutral.

Thanks for any thoughts. And any other info in general about this set up.

Did you check online for the owners manual or check the Remco website?

If it’s a 4x4 you can’t dolly tow it period. If front wheel drive you can dolly tow it but not flat tow. Manual

The Trailhawk comes in AWD only, so it is not dolly towable.

“but have heard some can not be towed on dolly.”

What you’ve heard could cost you a bunch of money. Verify with the manufacturer.

Thanks Tom for the link to the manual. Page 384 answers the question, NO.

I will research base plates next.

Thanks all.

Of course, if your preference is to trailer it back rather than taking along someone to drive it back, you can always rent a flatbed car trailer from U-Haul.

Wife will drive it back. Only about a 4 hour trip so not a big deal.

Thanks
