I see all of this on the forum with Dodge and Ford. When I go camping, Duramax seem to be the real deal. Yeah, Chevys will Nickle and Dime you but don't blow up, kill the tranny, rust prematurely or beat you to death.
Seems like the Duramax just keep going, have the best seats, a comfortable ride and won't screw you with warranty or even out of warranty repairs. I guess that's why I see more of them at campgrounds.
I suppose everyone has favorites.

My parents are on their second DMax Chevy truck and I have to say both have been good trucks. I will say with their current truck my Dad struggles to fill the DEF tank via under the hood fill port at his age so I typically fill it for him.

Lets see, all those early Duramax injector failures cost many around $4500 to replace. But that was early on so that does not count, just like the 6.0 and 6.4 Powerstroke don't count.

Is there any way to order a Cummins diesel with GM interior and Ford paint?

I've had more GMs than any other, starting with a 56, and I still have a soft spot for them but all of them since the 90s had really aggravating electric gremlins and flimsy/chincy window regulators and interior parts, not to mention the rattles, I needed a change. Simply put, much of the quality has gone away. If you've had better luck, stay with whatever you like. Craig
