Local experience. Not everyone out right now is a newbie. A LOT of people are tired of staying home and being restricted. So any chance they have they are getting out. Just going to the beach is insane, and the weather hasn't been great. A lot of people who have RVs have been parked for 18-20 months and it's go time. NOW add the newbies.

Renee, that is very encouraging about dry camping. I hope you are right.

And Mike, that is a very good point about the "cabin fever rebound" phenomenon -- maybe this summer is the high water mark for demand, since there is so much pent-up demand in addition to the newbies. More hopeful insights!!

CA announced grand opening today.

Never been out yet from the campsite so I don't know how it is..

But yesterday, everyone is still wearing mask -- even some as soon as they leave their cars.

Seems to have served the state well with the quick drop in Covid cases and deaths.

Out for a quick trip for supplies.

Again amazed that these Californicators, anarchists and freedom loving libs, are still wearing masks and having high level of compliance even before the opening.

Which may not be a bad idea either. Some family members suggested we continue to wear masks as all of us also escaped the flu and colds which usually visits a few of us every year.

It's because too many of them are stupid, deranged, or wealthy enough to not care, thus the ignorant compliance. This isn't a political statement. Rather, it's a fact based on 50+ years of observations. If you happen to disagree, re-read my first sentence while looking in a mirror.

Yeah right! You could have at least waited for Newsom as he is now giving money to the idiots and stupid to move out of the state.

And if you moved in non-mask complaint South and like the not-so-few anti-mask-anti-vaxxers, you might soon be joining the ranks of being hospitalized and dying with having the high Covid cases why your crazy CA is now enjoying themselves in their lovely beaches not worrying about Covid anymore -- and where I'm now also enjoying their parade of bikinied babes.

If you moved to Texas, then fry with the electricity shortage after nearly freezing to death last winter. Isn't your new life now out of the crazy CA a peach?

For us out of state, we'll we can bash both at our leisure. Or visit to enjoy.
