LOL, right?
I mean, we're talking about a porch light here, and a little 12V one at that, maybe even yellow so it don't attract bugs. Unless a person is camped T bone to one of those "fancy" trailers with the LED cap lights, or some @sshat like me pull sup with my 10 different LED "flood lights" all around my toy hauler, burning, I'm not feeling the actual distress here.
My suggestion would be a couple extra shots of Bourbon for a night cap and let yer eyelids do their job!
Of course, whether being fickle or not, I would not post on the internet, "OMG I couldn't sleep because of a porch light"
I also wouldn't be a Karen about it either, however a nice chat with the neighbor the next day while talking about non- bitchy stuff, maybe say "Hey bud, your porch light is right next to my bedroom window, and I know we're packed in here like camper sardines, but would ya mind turning it off after you turn in for the night. It's pretty warm and I like to leave my shades open and you don't want the visual of me getting up for my 3am pee break in my whitey tightys, so...please?"
You know, like humans used to do before they could hide behind computer screens and had to actually talk to each other...
Bet you'll have about a 97.43% success rate. And better yet, bring over an extra cold one for the neighbor when asking the question. That way even if he doesn't want to turn it off, he likely will after being shamed by your generosity!

Eh, the same 97.43% success rate with turning the light off, in my experience is 97.43% of the good ole pickup truck drivin, camper campin, red-blooded 'Mericans are NOT the problems on todays roadways and highways.
But purple haired, want to be called by some pronoun like "its", save the world, protest and riot for (insert your cause), or for-ners who are afraid to go more than 54mph in their Kia and don't understand what the left lane is for, or don't care, are the PROBLEM.

In a campground, with a mobile population, do you think the bad actors are going to learn which lights are auto, and which come on because somebody almost saw something?
It doesn't take learning to figure it out. Just walk past the RV and watch. Does an indoor light go on first? Does the RV move at all? Do you see a face in the window? Does the door open?
If no to all those, then it's likely to be a motion detector light.
And grabbing a cooler, generator, grill, etc, is a quick grab and run. By the time you get out of bed, they're gone with the prize regardless of how the light turned on.
And even if the thief is "startled", they usually come back and try again knowing the light will come on and no one will check it out.

So one person cannot sleep with the light on, the other person cannot sleep with the light off.

I have what are called "Scare Lights" and that would be RUDE of me to leave them on. They are the big round lights high up on the back corners.

I love reading these b!tch, p!ss and moan topics.
Makes me appreciate silence, distance, and cats even more.

This would be a very short lived forum if nobody posted things that others don't care for. The best way around it is to avoid the ones you don't like, problem solved. Works great for me.
