I realize there is probably no right or wrong answer to my question, "When do Snow Birds head south", but traveling up I-35 this weekend for a wedding, I met several and all types of RV's heading south and figured a fairly strong percent were heading south for the winter.
Just wondering and thinking while I was driving. Thanks for any answers.

I would say the first trickles start end of August/beginning of September.

The last ones usually leave around the new year (lots of folks like to be with family for Christmas).

I would say the peak is probably Nov/Early December before the really bad weather sets in but that varies by where your home is.

Thanksgiving head South and back Easter but it varies. Last year left Christmas day and came back here, NC, middle March. But my primary residence is near Baltimore and I have a 1/2 way home here in central NC so I just go where the weather is best.
