Working on our summer trip. Mapping software is taking us over Montana State 43 between Salmon, ID and Butte, MT. Road show on my paper atlas so I think it is probably ok. Montana DOT shows improvement projects to be completed this fall. Want first hand experience. We're veteran road warriors driving 41' Journey with toad.
Thanks in advance.

It's a really good road and very scenic. Two lane, winding in places, but not bad with plenty of shoulder room.

Been on it several times in the last two years we've volunteered in Salmon. Good road and plan on using it next spring on our way to Salmon.

One thing that I often do is google for videos on the highways and you can always find one.
