It's amazing how many have not had trucks on scales. I've wieght all of mine, know fr/rear light wts too. If you load them on a regular basis, it's good to know generally speaking correct light numbers so one does not put too much wieght, looks incorrectly etc you truck.
As a comparison, my 96 CC K3500 crew cab was 6600 empty. With in a few lbs of a current reg cab truck.

I weighed my 2011 Chevy when it was empty on my way to buy my camper and then hit the scales after loading the camper onto my truck.

I work out of town and stay in my TC. I pull into a DOT weigh station every Monday morning on my way home from work.
Don't know why I do but I do.

I was really curious as to how much my 1976 F-250 weighed.
I would have guessed a little more than it does.

Its apparent that the previous owner spared no expense when it came to buying parts and hiring the best mechanics. LOL

The parts just keep piling up and I won't have any time to work on the truck for another couple of weeks. ![frown [emoticon]](https://forums.trailerlife.com/sharedcontent/cfb/images/frown.gif)

I had to order 11/32" vacuum hose from Amazon for the brake booster because none of the parts stores here in town had any.

I've only buffed and polished one fender. It must have been a good looking truck when it was new. I sure like the color.

It's also amazing how many people can't even grasp the concept that the F to R weight bias is generally pretty similar on pickup trucks, and that a few quick inter-web numbers and you can get pretty close to what is sitting in your driveway.
On the contrary, I've never done scaled axle weights on a pickup. Only time I've seen the weight is at the garbage dump so they can figure out how much $ to jack me for not dumping my garbage in a ditch in King County!
