I just came from south FL to central NC the last few days and I-75--301--I-95 had a ton of RVs heading South. Was 85 when I left down there and is 28 here. Might be time to turn around.

A lot of interesting comments! We would love to be snowbirds but unfortunately, my wife's health is preventing us from what used to be our annual trip to the Texas coast. We sure enjoyed it when we could. We only used our motor home once for a few days locally last year. I hope all the snowbirds have a safe and happy winter where ever they are!

Thankfully an addiction I have avoided. But RV Village has all sorts of posts about people arriving somewhere, usually with bad photos. Very little info otherwise. These forums tend to requests for help and posts from people who have done something.
Travelogs have mostly migrated to blogs.

Because of reports of others (early December) going, and we’re not asked, we waited because of the desire to have Christmas with our kids and grandkids.
So we tried on the 31st and were turned back. Officers blamed their president.

I posted a gripe under Campingworld RV Sales. My post was eventually hijacked by two individuals who decided to have an argument not at all related to my post.
People come to this forum looking for information, or to vent, but there is ALWAYS someone who has to be a jackass with their sarcasm.
I come here infrequently now as a result.

We did our normal route in Nov. not hardly anyone at the casinos no matter where we where. Sams town in Tunica was exceptionally bad on a tuedays afternoon there wasn't 40 cars in their parking lot.
We have been in Florida and our park which is one in high demand is almost 90% full. What we do see is there are but a few at bingo and other popular games. Xmas and other normally full park supplied dinner have but a few in the hall most seemed to just pick it up and take it home.

We don't socialize with but a few trusted folks that have been vaccinated. Pretty quiet but when you pay the money in Feb for the next year you don't want to stay in the snow so you come here and hunker down. It's the way it is in today's world. To many morons out there that are still helping the spread.
We love to RV and today it just isn't as much fun, less people, less socializing and more caution.

samsontdog, you are on the money. Grocery stores, restaurants, you name it busy, busy! And thankfully many of north of the border folks are back.

Did Yuma once but my son said Yuma sucks come to Tuscon did that as that was where he lived .... finally my son after 28 years in Tuscon said I moving back to Michigan ... why did I leave.
Not to worry we do hang now in Florida in the winter. All southern states are good for those cold months but the rich forests and lakes of the north is prime time for the other 7 months...... just saying been there done that...... often
